Dog Racing, A Currumbin SUP Club Initiative.

Proving time and time again that stand up paddling is one of the most unique and diverse sports you can do in the water, they’re at it once more with Dog Racing, an initiative run by the Currumbin SUP Club.

It’s all happening on the 14th September, down at the Off Leash park across from the usual spot in Currumbin Creek. There will be a K9 Sup Race, K9 Relay race and even a short-course race for the juniors. Of course all boards are welcome, as long as there’s a dog on the nose! Oh, and apparently goats, pigs and even cats can come along for the ride!

This is a fantastic idea and perfect for getting the whole family down to the beach for some fun on the weekend. Supported by a heap of local companies, there’s going to be some great prizes on offer, so if you’re around the Gold Coast next weekend, get down there and see what it’s all about.

Once again, Dog racing! If your pooch is happy to become the figurehead of your stand up paddle board, get amongst it!
