Laird Hamilton is probably the only person alive who's crazy enough to Stand up paddle surf these waves.

Chances are, if you've ever seen photo's of a guy surfing a huge wave on a surfboard - it was Laird Hamilton. The 47 year old still heads out in the crazy stuff, but now spends most of his time Stand up Paddle surfing, windsurfing or kitesurfing - he does a bit of everything (as long as its in the water).

In winter, he can be found somewhere in the pacific, waiting for the massive swells to hit Teahupo'o or Pipeline. His summer months are spend in Malibu, California - livin' the life with the movie stars in his house on the beach.
