ASI provides SUP Instructor accreditation, and there are some new changes to the ASI SUP instructor qualifications.
 
These changes more accurately reflect the needs of the growing sport of SUP and SUP recreational providers.
 
SUP is a unique sport, conducted at a variety of locations with varying water conditions and with SUP specialisations.
 
ASI has developed 4 levels of SUP paddle boarding skill and knowledge.
Level 1 SUP Instructor (Enclosed Flat Waters)
Level 2 SUP Instructor (Exposed Waters)
Level 3 SUP Instructor (Downwind)
Level 4 SUP Instructor (Advanced Racing)

SUP surfing is recognised as a SUP specialisation with 3 levels of SUP surfing skill.   
Level 3 SUP Instructor (Beginner Surf)
Level 4 SUP Instructor (Intermediate Surf)
Level 5 SUP Instructor (Advanced Surf)
