Holding SUP Instructor qualifications is now mandatory when teaching at some councils and in national parks around Australia. 

The ASI Level 1 SUP instructor (enclosed flat water) course is recognised as the industry standard, with comprehensive instructor manuals and VETAB accreditation.

This accreditation is suitable for instructing in enclosed flat water locations.   Surfing experience is not required for Level 1.
