Superior Jetties, has released the first concept images and information for an innovative new berthing system to be released in 2009.

Project Neptune (working title) has been in research and development for over 12 months and is the culmination of many years of experience, teamed with the use of innovative materials and manufacturing processes.

The first of the major advancements is the use of composite decking materials, which provide very high levels of strength, durability, functionality and are visually stunning. No longer will marinas or pontoons be bound to concrete, timber or carpet finishes, which almost always fade, or are impacted by the harsh environment. An extensive range of colours, finishes and surfaces will be available.

Another first is the use of non-corrosive materials across most areas of the system, which will surely please the many Marina Owners and Managers who have increasing maintenance bills.

With an emphasis on architectural styling, Project Neptune will include a number of user friendly features including recessed storage areas within the deck and floats of the marina, plus recessed cleats, which can be easily hidden when not in use. Architectural styling won't be limited to above the waterline, with the integration of Aqualuma Underwater lights, sure to create an amazing visual impact at night.

In most cases, installation of a marina or pontoon requires significant manpower and qualified and technical production processes. Project Neptune will take advantage of major advancements in design and construction, which will drastically lessen installation timing, reduce the need for qualified tradesmen, and allow for an easy to manoeuvre modular system. Plus a radical new design for the floats and overall materials, will reduce shipping and installation costs both locally and internationally.

Superior Jetties has recently achieved certification as a low carbon manufacturer, which included an official review and certification of every element of the Project Neptune production process. Superior Jetties is committed to reducing C02 emissions, across every area of their business, with Project Neptune a key driver for reductions in production.

"With a definite slowdown in the local and international marina market, we're investing our time and resources to focus on innovation and the use of new products and processes to improve marina and pontoon design, manufacturing and installation." said John Hogan Managing Director of Superior Jetties. "We have a team of highly skilled industry professionals, consultants and experts, who have been utilising our years of knowledge, with the integration of new materials. to push the boundaries of marina and pontoon application."

Project Neptune will be available for commercial application in 2009.
