At last night's Annual General Meeting, the new Member Advisory Council (MAC) and Board of Directors was announced.

In the lead up to the AGM, the clubs showed a willingness to be involved in the strategic direction of the Association, by nominating a record 20 nominees for 12 positions, and for the first time in many years, the clubs were then called upon to vote on the 12 they wanted to see steering the Association forward and into the future.

The 12 successful nominees were:

* Roger Hickman
* Brad Andrew
* Geoff Davidson
* Judy Evans
* Rob Lowndes
* Ian Humphries
* Garry Linacre
* Garry Williams
* Steve Ward
* Russell Murphy
* Alister Morison
* Andrew Kendall

Immediately following the AGM, the MAC met to elect a new Board of Directors, who subsequently met to decide upon the Officers of the Association. The Board of Directors and their relevant position is below:

President: - Roger Hickman
Snr Vice President: - Geoff Davidson
Vice President: -Brad Andrew
Treasurer: -Rob Lowndes
Director: -Fred Bevis

Incoming President, Roger Hickman commented that 'it was fantastic to see the clubs put forward so many well credentialed candidates for the MAC, and I am really looking forward to working with the successful candidates, along with the dedicated YNSW staff, in guiding the Association for the upcoming year'.

Roger then went on to pay special tribute to the outgoing President Lyndsay Brown, Vice President Brian Tyquin, Director Don Bonnitcha and Councillors Frank Walker, Vicki Engert, Julie Hodder, and Allan Jones, by commenting that 'without the expert guidance and leadership that this group have shown over the past few years, YNSW would not be in the healthy shape that it is today. In particular, Lyndsay Brown has shown commitment, leadership and courage, in facing the many issues that evolved during his 3 year term as President'.
