World Match Racing Tour 2011 began with its first event that took place in Marseilles this past week. The event in Marseilles hosted 12 of the best match racing teams in the world who were all fighting to be crowned World Match Racing Champion. Newly named team, The Wave Muscat, skippered by Torvar Mirsky had a great start to the season, placing third overall. The Wave Muscat started well, winning the qualifying round and choosing to race Portugal's Alvaro Marinho and his Seth Sailing Team.
