Win an $1500 offshore jacket. Enter NOW!!
There's just one week left for boat owners to complete the boating habits survey being run by Mobilarm Ltd. on Sail-world.com and Powerboat-world and enter the free prize draw to win a top of the range Musto HPX Jacket worth $1500 - the same jacket worn by Volvo Ocean Racers.
Mobilarm, the company behind the MOBi-lert Man Overboard Alarm systems, has been running the survey to better understand its customers' attitude to safety when they're on the water, and how that is changing.

The company's design of man overboard alarms uses failsafe technology to protect everyone on board; each person wears a lightweight transmitter - a pendant - which continuously transmits a 'safe' signal to a central display console.
If that signal is broken, which happens if the pendant goes underwater or out of range, the system instantly raises the alarm and will even create a waypoint on your GPS or plotter, giving you the exact location that the person went into the water.
You don't have to manually activate the device if you go overboard - the alarm goes off automatically - which makes it particularly practical to use if you have small children or even pets on board. The console also features a secondary relay allowing you to connect to and activate other devices, such as your engine shut-off, when the alarm goes off, making it ideal for single-handed sailors too.
'At Mobilarm, our philosophy is simple - we aim to improve the safety of all mariners by providing products that save lives in a man overboard emergency' said Marketing Manager, Lorraine Hammacott.
'It's all we do. We continually research and develop new and innovative ways to make the best use of technology so that we can offer the best protection against a person going overboard unnoticed. In order to be sure that what Mobilarm has to offer in terms of its MOB alarms is up-to-date and in line with customer's needs and expectations, we felt a survey through sail-world.com would be an effective way for us to assess and evaluate what a good cross-section of our customers is thinking.'
The survey runs until midnight WST on Tuesday 5 August 2008 and will take less than 5 minutes to complete.
