Wild Oats Wines will be a prominent feature and the wine in everyone's glass at Sail Port Stephens this year, as they join the foundation and supporting partner group as the Official Wine Partner for the regatta.
The Wild Oats name is internationally renowned for its on water success with the super maxi Wild Oats XI, and the Wild Oats Wines brand is destined for the same recognition.
Sail Port Stephens was identified as an attractive platform from which to build awareness of Wild Oats Wines, and it is envisaged that the two brands will grow together and enjoy a long term partnership.
Wild Oats Wines spokesperson Darren Jahn said they're looking forward to taking an active role in the regatta and its social program.
'With the Oatley family, there is a natural affinity with yachting, and to be the Official Wine Partner in an emerging event like the Sail Port Stephens regatta is great for Wild Oats Wines, and great for the competitors, families and friends involved who'll get to enjoy some sensational reds and whites at the social get togethers each night' he said.
Sail Port Stephens Event Manager Jody O'Brien believes the relationship between the two brands is a fantastic fit, and is delighted with the opportunity to grow together.
'We're excited about Wild Oats Wines joining forces with the current group of partners, and we're all working hard towards ensuring that the Wild Oats product is the wine on everyone's lips at the event, and throughout the year' she said.
From little things, big things grow, and Sail Port Stephens would not be possible without the support of the foundation partner group of Nelson Bay Diggers, Shoal Bay Resort and Spa, Peppers Anchorage and All Seasons Salamander Shores -as well as the resource contributions of the supporting partner group in SLAM, d'Albora Marina, Yachting NSW and Business Port Stephens, an initiative of Port Stephens Council.
All of the partners welcome Wild Oats Wines to the Sail Port Stephens family and are delighted to have them on board.
