The Western Australia 49er State Championship 2010-11 was hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May 2011. A fleet of eleven boats had assembled at TCYC for the 9.30 briefing. The forecast for the weekend was perfect for the 49er fleet with light easterlies in the morning and moderate seabreezes for the afternoon. The format was for five races per day of windward/leeward courses with the port/starboard gate to leeward which is now popular amongst many classes.
