That's it, the waiting game is over. The deadline wins. With no prospect of an improvement in wind speed, racing has been abandoned for the day.

In-Port racing in Qingdao has been postponed for the second day running. Volvo Ocean Race CEO Knut Frostad has confirmed that we will try again Monday when conditions are expected to be more favourable. Third time lucky? Maybe . . .

Monday Forecast:

Some build is expected for Monday as a weak cold front moves in from the NW. As a result you can expect lingering fog and some light rain. The winds will remain weak, under 10 knots, but should fill from the SW in the morning and then continue right through the day.
