November 19 and 20 sees the Lipton Cup Regatta held on Port Philip. This year the 2011-2012 Victorian State IRC and AMS Titles incorporated into the event.
With racing covering all divisions, including cruising boats, this promises to be the major pre Christmas event on Port Phillip.
Competitors racing for the state titles will be attempting to get their names on the historic Lady Nelson Trophy.
With over 100 boats competing in the 2010 Regatta, organisers expect keen and close competition in this year's event.
RYCV Club Captain David Ellis said 'With the two events running at the same time, we expect a great turnout', Regatta Chairman, John Bugress is ready for over 120 entries this year.'
This is the fourth year of the Lipton Regatta, and it goes from strength to strength' said Burgess. With sponsorship from Nautilus Marine Insurance, Audi Penfold, Musto, Wild Oats and Doyle Sails the event is well supported.
