Three Peaks Race - In another first for events in Tasmania, in this year?s Australian Three Peaks Race the public will able to be follow runners' progress over the mountains through satellite technology. Each pair of team runners will be equipped with small satellite trackers. Position plots for each team of runners will be transmitted every 10 minutes for viewing on the race website as the runners take on the arduous routes over Mt Strzelecki at Flinders Island (65 kms return), Mt Freycinet (35 kms) on Tasmania?s picturesque east coast and Mt Wellington (33 kms) the magnificent backdrop to the ...
