The RSYS Varuna Trophy was won by Division 4 champion Kerstin II by a mere two seconds on corrected time from Division 1 champion Ellipse. The Varuna Trophy provides a rare opportunity for the top placed yachts in all divisions and classes for the past season to race against each other on Sydney Harbour, under special handicaps set by RSYS handicapper John Maclurcan. His assessing of their performances proved spot on: only two seconds separated the first two yachts on corrected time, with only three minutes between the first six boats.
