The 32nd NSW State Tasar Championships will be held this Easter weekend from the Speers Point Amateur Sailing Club.
The high-class New South Wales fleet will be boosted by interstate visitors from South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
All are keen to race in preparation for the upcoming World Championships in Japan, and the World Masters Games to be held in Sydney later this year, where the Tasar is the double handed class.
Competitors will include current National Champ - Shane Guanaria of NSW and current NSW State Champions father and daughter team Rob and Nicole Douglass (former World Champs) from Ulladulla, NSW, who are aiming to defend their State Title.
Organisers are expecting 50 to 60 boats for the event. Entries will be open until the morning of the 10th of April when racing gets underway.

About the Tasar
A Tasar is a super light yet durable, efficient dinghy designed to be sailed by two adults, originally a man and a woman. The superior design enables sailors to race the boats at the level they are comfortable with. A Tasar offers technologically advanced Mylar sails and a hull that reaches the plane with crew normally hiked.
