8:23 AM Fri 8 May 2009 GMT The Australian Sailing Team has entered the world of Facebook, with a dedicated fan page now live on the popular social networking site.
The Australian Sailing Team page allows fans to stay up to date with all the latest news and regatta results from around the world.
Fans can watch videos on team members and regatta reports, browse the photo galleries, check out the profiles of their favourite athletes and read news stories.
The fan page also allows visitors to write on the Australian Sailing Team's 'wall', leaving messages of support for the team as the sailors begin their quest for Gold at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
2009 is set to be an exciting year for the Australian Sailing Team with a number of new pairings including Beijing Silver medalist Darren Bundock's debut in the 49er class alongside Ben Austin, Nathan Outteridge joining up with Iain Jenson and Gold medalist Malcolm Page partnering Mathew Belcher in a 470.
