Stolen Flying Dutchman Carbon Mast - please return

Training for The Flying Dutchman team! Rydge and Scarr again is stalled. Their training carbon CST mast was stolen off their trailer (outside of Woollahra Sailing Club). It seems someone wanted it more than they did!

The mast was the first proto type they built for testing and development a few years ago. The mast is not much use to anyone, but it could however be cut up and used as a tip fill or something similar.

Although the mast has been superseded with the next generation of masts, Rydge and Scarr did use the mast for their off shore training, as it was very very strong. It was also used as the training mast when they wanted to do boat handling in 20 plus knots as the team knew they could give it a thrashing.

So if any knows where it is, the guys would love to see it back on their trailer in the coming weeks as they begin their preparations for the Flying Dutchman Worlds in Napier New Zealand in December.

What does this mast look like???... well ...... it's black, it has CST carbon spreaders, it has had extensive strengthing on the top half of mast on the sides. It has a base on it that will only fit their boat. There are datium marks in the mast that are like serial numbers which are put there by CST.

If you come across it email richardscarr(at)hotmail.com or contact Sail-World.com and we will pass the information on.

The team would really appreciate your help in finding the mast ... Editor.
