Southport Yacht Club has appointed a new CEO

The Board of Southport Yacht Club on Queenlands Gold Coast has announced the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer.

Noel Thompson, the Chairman of the Board said 'We have appointed Haydyn Johns to the position of CEO.

'Haydyn comes with a wealth of knowledge to our Club, having spent many years as General Manager of Darwin Yacht Club and the past nine years as General Manager of Royal Queensland Yacht Club.

'Haydyn will commence with us on 29th March, however he will visit the Club over the next two weeks to meet the staff.

'On behalf of the SYC staff and members I would take this opportunity to welcome Haydyn to the Club and look forward to working with him.'
