New Zealand boat builder, Profab Central Engineering, based in Palmerston North, is working on what it terms Build Project 08, a 31.5-metre alloy motor yacht for Diverse Projects.

The hull was successfully turned I October and the superstructure is rapidly taking shape. Stage two of the build program, interior paintwork and finishing details, will be undertaken in Whangarei.

Designed by the Craig Loomes Design Group, the vessel is being built to Germanischer Lloyds 100 A5 class and New Zealand MSA survey.

She will cruise at 12.5 knots courtesy of dual C18 600hp Caterpillar engines.

The interior will be designed by Chris Connell which, the builders claim, will complete the picture of a motor yacht offering the very best all-round quality.
