San Francisco's Triennial Parade of Sail again kicked off the city's Festival of Sail on Wednesday, as starting at noon the Parade got underway by passing below the iconic Golden Gate bridge.

Magnificent weather made this another day to remember, as 32 tall ships and schooners and hundreds of spectator yachts turned the Bay into a photographer's delight.

Coast Guard Auxiliary vessels continually circled the vessels to ensure that excited spectator vessels stayed at a safe distance. On board the tall ships themselves, fare paying passengers enjoyed the best experiences of all, as they floated along in the Parade.

The rest of the Festival of Sail, which continues throughout this coming weekend, will offer heaps of opportunities for viewing the old sailing ships.
