Racing at the IFDS World Blind Sailing Championships on Lake Rotorua today was eventually abandoned due to no wind.

The boats took to the lake around 10am this morning, however, the brisk breeze soon dropped and barely reached more than five knots for most of the day.

The fleet will now race tomorrow (Tuesday) which was originally set aside as a lay day.

Racing is now expected to get underway around 10am Tuesday.
