Sail Port Stephens 2011 SB3 National Championship day 1. As the SB3 fleet prepared for the starter's gun the wind had picked up from the south and was blowing 10-11 knots. A beautiful sunny day, as Nathan Outteridge (One Design Sailing) started second from the pin. With a snappy spinnaker work Outteridge was first to the lay line, then three boat lengths back to Glenn Bourke (Club Marine White), with Rod Jones on spinnaker. They were followed by Jan Talacko (Foreign Object), and Dave Bull (Jester 3) then the rest of the fleet followed, together in a cloud. More as
