Sail Melbourne medal races are due to get underway directly in front of the Sandringham Yacht Club at 11am EDST, and sailing fans from around the world can watch progress via on-board trackers. Eight Olympic classes competing in the opening round of the ISAF Sailing World Cup will hold their medal races today and all will be equipped with the electronic devices. The forecast is for good winds and bad weather. Specifically, south-westerlies at 10-15 knots, reaching 20 knots at times this morning, then tending south to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots around midday.
