| The Sail Downunder Series 2008 consists of three regattas with all events counting towards finding the overall 'Sail Down Under Series Winners' in each competing class. For classes to be eligible in the series they must be racing at all three events.
The Classes: Olympic Classes: Laser Radial Women, Laser Men and 470 Invited Classes: Laser Radial, Laser 4.7 and 29er
The Regattas: Sail Brisbane - 27-30 November 2008 Sail Sydney - 6-9 December 2008 Sail Melbourne - 16-21 December 2008
The first of the three events, Sail Brisbane concluded on Sunday after four days of racing. The 143 boats competing on the waters of both Waterloo and Moreton Bays from host club Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron saw an array of conditions dealing with torrential rain, freak storms and winds reaching 35 knots.
