Bruce Hollis, sailmaker and travel companion to the successful Australian Flying Dutchman team of Norman Rydge and Richard Scarr, has sent images from their recent eventful trip to the FD European Championships in Croatia and from training sessions on Sydney Harbour.

Rydge and Scarr's European campaign did not begin well, with their new proto-type carbon fibre mast snapping. However all was not lost as the team rapidly installed their spare mast and and continued sailing, finishing the championship in third place.

Back in Australia to continue their training for the Flying Dutchman Worlds to be held in New Zealand in December, the pair had their spare mast stollen from outside the Woollahra Sailing Club in Sydney.

Any help in finding the mast would be appreciated.
