Rosehill Trailer Boat Show geared towards member support

'Rosehill Gardens Boat Show 2006' Boating Industry Association of New South Wales

The Boating Industry Association of NSW (BIA) is in the final stages of planning for the industry's annual Rosehill Trailer Boat Show, to be held this year 14 & 15 March with significantly reduced exhibitor fees and free entry for the public.

This event, with a history going back to the early 1960s has been a key activity in the industry's strategy to assist its members achieve product sales and much needed exposure to the recreational boating market.

Strategically positioned in the early part of the year, its objectives remain the same today as they did during its inception over 4 decades ago. Whilst the show has matured to meet visitor needs and take advantage of better venue facilities, it remains a key industry event that allows the marine dealers to move excess stock items that remain from the summer season prior to the winter spell.

Whilst an expansion plan is on the drawing board for 2010, the 2009 has been restructured to assist BIA members with the economic climate of today. Following the success of the "Clear the Decks" sale late in 2008, the 2009 will take some of those elements for this event.

The show will have free entry for the public, it will run Saturday & Sunday only and exhibitor rates have been reduced by 20% on those of 2008.

Roy Privett, General Manager of the association said; "These changes will certainly result in a substantial deficit for the association, but this has been calculated and is part of our strategy to give BIA members a cost efficient event where they can present their products to the market place. Together with free public entry and parking, we hope that we can stimulate increased visitor numbers that will result positively for our members."

The Rosehill Trailer Boat Show will run 14 & 15 March at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. Applications to exhibit have been sent to all BIA NSW members or can be obtained by calling the BIA office on (02) 9438 2077.
