After six races at the 470 Open European Championship it's close at the top in both the Men's and Women's fleets.

In the Men's Gold fleet, Javier Conte and Juan De la Fuente from Argentina lead by a point, from the French team of Pierre Leboucher and Vincent Garros, after their one discard is taken into consideration.

In third place are the Dutch team of Steven Fevre and Steven Krol.

Australian World Champions Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page are not having the happiest of regattas and currently lie back in 25th, their best placing to date being a fifth in Race 4.

Fellow Australians Mathieu Higgins and Timothy Lynch currently lead the Bronze fleet.

In the 470 Women's, the US team of Amanda Clark and Sarah Mergenthaler continue to lead the Austrian team of Sylvia Vogl and Carolina Flatscher.

Clark and Mergenthaler have a discard of 20 in Race 5, compared to the Austrians whose current drop is a 13, also in Race 5. However the team from the USA currently lead the fleet by virtue of more consistent results, including three firsts.

Australians Elise Rechichi and Tessa Parkinson lie in third place, after their current drop of 15 in Race 1 is taken into consideration.

Stacey Omay and Chelsea Hall finished the day in 12th place, after an OCS in Race 6.
