Mark Fullerton of Doyle Sails Australia and Doyle Sails Qingdao China, was not on Bondi Beach today. He was on the algae free main beach of the resort city of Qingdao in eastern Shandong province in China.

He writes 'Well the beach was a very different scene this afternoon.

'Most of the algae has been cleaned up, the army is starting to leave and 1000's of people flocked to the beach for a very nice warm afternoon.

'The small amounts of algae left is being used for decoration to kids sandcastles.

The Olympic sailing regatta starts in Fushan Bay on August 9th 2008.
