Ian Oatley's Q, the radically designed Reichel/Pugh 42 day racer was a sensation on Sydeny Harbour yesterday, before and capsized yesterday in Sydney Harbour, after a keel malfunction. The crew in their bright orange shirts stood on the hull until CYCA race officers arrived to offer assistance. Q was righted and towed back to the CYCA at Rushcutters Bay. We wonder if James Bond will need to be on board for her next outing. Seriously tho' - 10 points for Ian Oatley for having a go at such a radical keel program. His funding of it will no doubt provide ...
