Optimist sailors from around Australia will be making the most of their opportunity to get some regatta experience at the venue for the upcoming Australian Championships next January. The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club has received over 40 entries for the Pittwater Spring Cup this weekend, with competitors travelling from as far afield as Adelaide and Airlie Beach. Among the interstate compeitors are a number of current Australian Optimist Sailing Team (AOST) members who are expected to provide some tough competition to the best young sailors from NSW, who have just spent two days training with the Yachting NSW Emerging
