Pegan wins Seth IFDS Multihull World Championship
The Seth IFDS Multihull World Championship had a perfect ending in Cascais, Portugal as Hungary's Zoltan Pegan won the title for the second year running with a victory in the final race.

Zoltan Pegan's win in race 11 on the Bay of Cascais ensured his successful defence of the IFDS Multihull World Championship title, eight points ahead of Graham Hall and 13 in front of Luke Barbanneau, both from Great Britain.
A 22 knot breeze welcomed the 28-strong Challenger fleet on the last day of racing. Pegan started the Seth Cascais Worlds as favourite and lived up to that billing. 'It's wonderful. It was the perfect ending for a perfect championship. I couldn't ask for better,' said the delighted Hungarian.
Pegan also praised the Cascais venue and the organization, 'Now I know why Cascais is such famous sailing centre. The conditions were perfect for these boats.'
Linda Merkle, IFDS Technical Delegate, has no doubt about the qualities of Cascais, also the venue for the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships. 'Perfect. The sailors had a wonderful time, even the ones from the back of the pack. We all loved the venue with all kind of winds. As we say in England 'spot on',' said Merkle.
Australian sailor Stephan Churm finished in 12th place.
