Open de Espa?a day 1. Sun and light breeze during the first racing day at the Open de Espa?a in Calpe. UK representative Ian Williams showed why he is the favourite, winning the four matches sailed today against Reuben Corbet (NZL), Simone Ferrarse (ITA) Keith Swinton (AUS) and the Spanish skipper Manu Weiller. French veteran Betrand Pac? also showed a good shape, winning three of the four matches of the day. Only Finnish Staffan Lindberg beat the America's Cup skipper.
