Round two has been set for the Queensland Gold Coast, scheduled unusually for Friday, October 31.
Reason for the Friday staging stems from the visit to Australia of UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique) delegates from 62 nations.
A highlight of their visit will be a gala weekend of powerboat racing.
Rounds three and four of the Offshore Superboat Series moves to Victoria, with Williamstown (February 29/March 1) and Geelong (March 8/9) set to host the big racers.
The only NSW event, round five, has been set for Newcastle, May 2/3.
Townsville has again been chosen for the final round and it is here the dates still need to be confirmed.
Race director Paul Gibbs said Townsville had recently gained a V8 Supercar event, initially set for late July.
'We usually race off Townsville in late June, and we're waiting to hear if Townsville wants us to schedule our event later because of the V8 Supercars,' he explained.
'It's possible we could go as late as August, even September,' he added.
Powerboat-World.com will maintain contact with the organisation and when the dates are confirmed they will be published on the site.
