NSW Maritime has appointed Captain Simon McEvoy as the new Yamba Harbour Master, NSW Maritime Chief Executive Steve Dunn said. Capt McEvoy replaces former Yamba Harbour Master Alan Jones, who retired after 15 years in the position. Mr Dunn said Capt McEvoy is responsible for all pilotage duties and commercial shipping in the Port of Yamba, Australia's eastern-most sea port. 'Part of the role is to ensure that marine operations including navigation, ship scheduling, and emergency response are provided in a safe and efficient manner.'
