.
| The Marine QLD Members Directory 2009, published by Reflections Media, is the most comprehensive Directory of Marine related businesses in QLD.
The primary function of the directory is to provide member information and services at your fingertips. As well as having every member of Marine QLD listed in telephone style directory by region and a products and services directory it will also include sections on the following:
An events calendar, emergency telephone contacts, marine radio procedures, marina locations in Queensland, pump out station locations, flare disposal centres, public boat ramps, jetties & locations, boat safety equipment requirements, fish bag limits, beacon identification and a first aid and resuscitation guide.
The inclusion of these items will ensure the boating public will retain the directory as an annual point of reference creating an exciting advertising/promotional medium for the Queensland industry.
Members of Marine Queensland, as at 30/1/2008, will be included in a telephone book style listing, however, members have the opportunity to place display colour advertising within the publication and to have their directory listing boxed and with their company logo displayed. While businesses outside the industry will be invited to advertise, Marine QLD members will receive the special rates and directory listings.
Marine Queensland's purpose is to provide recognised and credible leadership, advocacy and representation for Queensland's diverse leisure marine industry. This includes harnessing industry associations to work collaboratively, raising the profile of the industry in the public and private sector, the general community and developing mechanisms to facilitate dissemination of information throughout the industry supply chain.
The structure and governance of Marine Queensland caters for the diverse interests and sectors within the industry. Each "community of interest' is under a division of Marine Queensland. This approach ensures strength from unity whilst maintaining the identity and focus of the divisions.
Divisions include the Brokers, Manufacturers, Marinas, Retailers, Queensland Small Craft Council, Marine Gold Coast and the General Division.
It is envisaged the directory will be distributed to members and be made available as a promotional tool for marine events and boat shows.
The publication is A5 Portrait in size and has a minimum of 116 pages.
Why become a member of Marine Qld - and why advertise your company's membership? Business consultants say 85% of all business failures occur in firms who are not members of their industry association.
Marine Queensland members are recognised as having attained a high standard of professionalism and knowledge through ongoing accreditation programs, educational support and technical development.
Members adhere to a strict code of ethics and proudly display the association membership logo on their business premises and on their business and marketing communications. This is supported with the association's 'Buy with confidence' marketing campaign targeting consumers to only buy and trust businesses displaying the Marine Queensland Member logo.
Consumer confidence, quality of product and service are just some of the problems facing our industry today. No matter how large or small your business, no one individual could possibly begin to solve these problems alone and so it remains that each should join in a collective effort to protect their business investment.
