8:10 AM Fri 7 Nov 2008 GMT The annual Lipton Cup Regatta, run by the RYCV at Williamstown is in preparation mode for the event, running on the 15th and 16th November.
The Event is the only two day event prior to the summer ocean racing series, and as such attracts many of the Sydney-Hobart and ORCV race boats. A fleet of over 80 boats is expected. Racing will be over three courses, covering boats from Division 0 to trailables.
The Division A fleet includes Michael Hiatt's new Living Doll from RYCV, which only arrived from Auckland this week. She will be up against Rob Hanna's Shogun, which of course is the old Living Doll. Royals will have extensive entertainment on site, and has arranged temporary moorings for the boats who wish to stay.
