'Lasers hit the water! - 2011 Australian University Fleet Racing Regatta' Tom Mallet

Today the Australian University Fleet Racing Championship kicked off in Canberra with representatives from eight universities competing for the national championship. The creativity of university students was on show when Canberra's autumn weather lived up to expectations delivering below average wind conditions. To kick off the day's racing activities the students made do with their limited resources to organise a stand up paddle board relay race using the available windsurfing gear. The students from University of New South Wales showed their lack of balance early on with the University of Sydney cruising home to take the victory. The wind came ...
