In the final of the Toyota Sopot Match Race 2008 ISAF Grade 1 Adam Minoprio (NZ) defeated Eric Monnin (SUI). In the fight for the third place Keith Swinton (AUS) has won from Ian Ainslie (RSA).

There were various weather conditions during final flights. Wind from 2 bft to 5bft in squalls. During last flight mast on Adam Minoprios yacht has broken and the race was repeated. In the final the New Zeland Team: Adam Minoprio (skipper), Dave Swete, Tom Powrie, Nick Blackman defeated the Swiss team: Eric Monnin (skipper), Marc Monnin, Simon Brugger, Yann Maillet. 3:1. In the Petit Final Keith Swinton from Australia defeated the representative of the Republic of South Africa 2:1.
