The 30 metre trimaran IDEC (Francis Joyon) has crossed the finish line to be first home in the 2010 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race. She took just over four and a half hours for the race, starting at 0500hrs and finishing just after 9.30am. Well outside the record of 3hrs 08mins 29secs for a multihull boat, also set by Francis Joyon in 2001. Originally designed for singleghanded round the world sailing, IDEC was crewed by three other crew, plus Olympic Gold Medallist, Rodney Pattission IDEC was followed closely by three Extreme 40's who finished
