Hot Competition for Crowther Multihull Regatta

'Multihull Trojan on Pittwater' David Styles
With only a few weeks to go, a hot fleet is expected to contest this year's APC Logistics Lock Crowther Memorial Regatta on Pittwater and off the coast of Sydney's Northern beaches over the October long weekend.

Strong competition amongst the racing fleet is expected from Doug Cuming's Egan 9.5 tri "Voodoo Spirit", Darren Drew's re-launched all carbon custom Grainger cat "Indian Chief", Jason Geddes' Crowther Southern Ocean 41 "Quickstep", Steve Barton's Grainger MTB 920 "Big Bird" and Rob Ottowa's hot Farrier F-28R "Summit".

These boats and more are expected to meet the starter for the warm up ocean race on Friday 3rd and be vying for line honours in the inshore race series on Saturday and Sunday. The fleet is expected to be in excess of 30 boats from all parts of Australia.

Regatta organiser Alan Brand said he also expected a good fleet of cruising boats who are also well catered for with sponsorship for the cruising division once again coming from Seawind Catamarans.

Prizes to be awarded for line honours, OMR and PHS categories.
