While the official racing has ended for another season, there are still those keen to get an edge on the competition by sneaking in a few training sessions and racing over the cooler months. Both Adelaide SC and Largs Bay SC will be conducting winter races. Check the SA Fireball website (www.fireballsa.yachting.org.au) for dates and to register your interest.

Preparation for the upcoming Australian Championship is progressing well. Port Stephens in NSW will be a fantastic venue. If you haven't booked your accommodation yet then get to it! As always we are sailing in a popular holiday location, and accommodation over the Christmas period will be hard to come by if you leave it too late.

The Fireball Worlds will be held in Barbados in May 2010. This has created a lot of excitement amongst the Australian fleet. The official web site (www.fireball-worlds.com) will continually be updated with the latest information. Australia will send another strong team of competitors as we continue to build for the 2012 Fireball Worlds in Mandurah, WA.

What a great time to get into a Fireball!

If you would like to try sailing a Fireball please contact the Fireball Association.
