NSW Maritime Chief Executive Steve Dunn today said boating safety restrictions were in place for the scuttling of the Ex-HMAS Adelaide off Avoca Beach. Mr Dunn said the scuttling was scheduled for 10:30am on Wednesday April 13 at a site 1.8 km off Avoca. 'NSW Maritime has strict navigation controls in place for safety reasons,' he said.
