The Brisbane-based company has been operating since 1996 importing brands such as Jeanneau, Sanlorezo and Viking Yachts. Receivers Korda Mentha who confirmed Euroyachts was put into receivership 14 January, 2009.

Lee Condell, director at Performance Boating, the NSW dealer for Jeanneau has been in talks with the brand's head office in France and foresees no disruption for customers.

"In fact, it will be a positive," he says, "Each state dealership will now deal with the factory in France direct, cutting out the middle man. The existing network will proceed, business as usual. We have a very good relationship with them. We will be in direct competition with our competitors."
