The 2009 Lipton Cup Regatta will be held on Port Phillip on 14 and 15 November 2009. This year's Regatta has been expanded to include two Cruising divisions, with and without spinnaker, as well as the Divisions A,B, and C, Trailables and Sportboats.

This year besides the Trophys, there is a little extra.

There are two prizes to the value of $5,000 worth of sails.

Melbourne's leading sailmakers, Col Anderson (Doyle) and Dave Eickmeyer (Quantum) are working with the club to provide two prizes of sails to the value of $5,000.

At the end of the Regatta, each divisional winner's name will be put into the hat, and two groups of six will drawn.

There will then be two very quick and furious races in the club's Pacers to decide the two winners. And the crew must include the skipper.

This is the fourth year of running this event, and it is now the major pre-Christmas interclub event for keelboats on Port Phillip.
