Come aboard, stow your gear, we've plenty to keep you occupied with Boating News from around the world.

Hey, how about those Canadians? Eight million of 'em are refusing to get involved with boat licences.

Why didn't we think of that?

Meanwhile, back on the water, Tom Barry-Cotter, offshore racing's rising star, has finished the Offshore Superboat Championship season with another victory in the Redcliffe Grand Prix.

P1 Powerboats too is where it's all happening in Europe and we mark the fact that the fabulous Fort Lauderdale is about to celebrate its Golden Anniversary, 50-years!

Take a look at the fantastic vessel that Fort Lauderdale show organisers have hailed as 'Queen of the Show.'
All 214-feet of the Feadship 'Trident' is a credit to her designers and builders.

This Saturday there is a seriously big boat auction at Brisbane's Marine Auctions, a Horizon 98, the star of the 2008 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and a bunch of smaller big boats too. Be interesting to watch the prices. There are sure to be still some bargains still, even tho' the market is turning and the stock market is coming back.

Now I know our focus is on Power boats, but one sailing incident has everybody talking, that of 16-year-old school girl Jessica Watson, determined to circumnavigate the world under sail and unassisted.

As is now well-known, on her way south to Sydney to begin her adventure she collided with a container ship while still in Queensland waters. Sail-World's cruising editor Nancy Knudsen takes an experienced look at Jessica's plans and provides an overview of long-distance sailing pitfalls.

Plenty to read, plenty to keep bringing you back as we update regularly.

Keep your eye on the horizon and may the weather remain fair.
