Francis Joyon, skipper of the maxi trimaran IDEC, crossed the finish line of the Discovery Route in San Salvador in the Bahamas today, Friday at 02 hours, 06 minutes (or 03 hours, 06 minutes - European time).

With a running time of 9 days, 20 hours, 35 minutes, he set a new solo record on the theoretical 3 885 miles of the trail the average of 16.4 knots per hour, overtakes 60-foot trimaran Sodebo Thomas Coville.
