| A Cruising Information Evening will be held at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia(CYCA) in Rushcutters Bay Sydney on Tuesday 25 November at 7pm. If you are anywhere near Sydney about that time, it would be a great opportunity to get free and up-to-date information about getting the best performance from your yacht.
 | CYCA - it’’s all happening here - .. . | Buying the yacht is one thing, getting the right information is another. The evening is designed to assist in taking the mystery out of optimising your yacht. The evening will cover both racing to the highest degree, general club racing and world cruising, even just messing about in boats.
On the night Michael Spies will not only take you through the cost effective steps he took to optimise a standard production yacht to such level it actually won the Rolex Sydney Hobart yacht race, he will also explain how he gained the best advantage from the IRC rule in order to achieve this amazing feat.
Michael's presentation will be complemented by sailmaker Julian Plante who will give expert advice on selecting, updating and improving your sail inventory together with some invaluable advice on trimming.
As can be seen regardless what type of yacht you have this is an evening not to miss.
The evening is free and open to all members and guests. Please contact the CYCA Reception for more information or to register your attendance on 02 8292 7800 or email to reception@cyca.com.au
