CT Sailbattens have once again proved their strength and success in the extreme conditions provided by every leg of the Volvo Ocean Race. Surviving the toughest racing challenges faced by professional sailors CT Sailbattens have proved to be an extremely reliable product.

Winner of Leg 5 Ericsson 3 finished the marathon 12,300nm leg from Qingdao to Rio de Janeiro - the longest leg sailed in a Volvo Ocean Race.

Martin Oliver, Sail Coordinator for Ericsson says: 'We haven't broken any C-Tech battens during this race, the battens are great!! They fitted straight into our last main, was all too easy! It's important to have a reliable package onboard these Volvo 70's and C-Tech have done this with our Mainsail battens!!'

CT Sailbattens are specifically designed for maximum durability and breakage resistance. Performance results on board America's Cup yachts and high-tech multi-hulls have proven CT Sailbattens to be more resilient than other products previously used in these environments. Feedback from AC syndicates indicates that CT Sailbattens are stronger and lighter than other batten products available on the market.

CT Sailbattens have also proved extremely durable in high-stress environments such as the Vendee Globe, ORMA 60 multi-hull circuit, round-the-world record attempts and currently in the Volvo Ocean race 2008-09.
