Black Swan Racing leads after Day 1 of Warren Jones Regatta

Today marked the start of the 2009 Warren Jones International Match Race being from the Royal Perth Yacht Club on Matilda Bay.

Our team of Keith Swinton (helm), Mark Langford (tactics), Kyle Langford (mainsheet), Nick Davis (trim), Ryan Hannan (tailer) and Adam Martin (bow) have made a solid start to the regatta winning seven races from seven.

Racing for the day got underway around 10am however because of the light easterly breeze it wasn't until 1pm when the Fremantle Doctor filled in that we completed our first race. The breeze continued to build as the afternoon went on making for some physically demanding sailing. Early days but we feel we are sailing well and are really looking forward to more racing on our home waters.
