| Sailability on both sides of the Tasman are heading for a big year as they collaborate with the Access Class Association and other sailing organizations in supporting the staging of nine major regattas. Four are international in scope. Race notice and other details can be obtained via the relevant website or email address.
25-31 January: IFDS Single Person World Championship/Access Liberty Open World Championship/Kiwi Cup

17-18 January: Victorian Access Class Championships.
This annual regatta will be run by Mornington Yacht Club in association with Sailability Victoria on Port Phillip Bay. mdaddo@bigpond.net.au
21-22 February: NSW Access Class Championships
By popular demand, year-old Sailability Lake Wallace will again host the event for the Australian Access Class Association on Lake Wallace, Wallarewang (near Lithgow). ajo94109@bigpond.net.au
20-27 February: Victorian Masters Games

March 15: 'Be Active' Access Class Championships

March 13-21: IFDS Blind Sailing World Championships
Sailed on Lake Rotorua, New Zealand, and hosted by Bay of Plenty Trailer Yacht Association. NZ's own Paulien Eitjes won the 2008 Homerus International Blind Match Racing. www.2009worldblindsailingnz.com
19-22 March: Access Class Australian & International Championships.
Host for this important annual event is Southport Yacht Club with Sailability Gold Coast. Course is the beautiful Broadwater at the northern end of the Gold Coast. www.sailabilitygc.org
28-29 March: South Australian Sailability Championships
Port Adelaide Sailing Club and Sailability Port Adelaide will collaborate to run this event on the Port River near Adelaide. johnoj4@bigpond.com
26 April-2 May: Inaugural 'Freedom from MS Regatta'
Yachting and dinghy clubs (including Sailability) around Australia will raise money for MS Research Australia and Sailability in a three way partnership with MS Australia. Each club will dedicate a scheduled regatta to fund-raising. lgilder@msra.org.au
12-16 October: World Masters Games
